Ellson HVAC General Manager, Jason Ells, was born in Anchorage, Alaska. His family relocated to Hillsboro, OR, where he grew up.
Jason’s interest in refrigeration began with 1998 training while working in cold storage and ammonia refrigeration in the Apple Orchard industry. He pursued his education in this career path by attending Perry Technical Institute, receiving his certification in 2003.
Jason’s work experience expanded into commercial and industrial projects, working with chiller sand boilers, cooling towers, and in water treatment plants. From there he honed his skills in the residential side, with hands on service work, retro HVAC installations, as well as new construction projects. His extensive background in HVAC allows Ellson’s offers it all, from minor repairs to major commercial new construction projects, and everything in between. His full service crew provides custom duct work, to allow Ellson to offer solutions not provided by other area HVAC companies.
Jason’s number one goal, in his personal life and career, is pursuing solutions with a positive attitude that result in a productive outcome.
When not working, Jason enjoys kayaking, mountain biking, dirt bikes, hiking and spending time with family. The Gorge is the perfect setting for him to pursue both his personal and career passions.
Jason’s biggest accomplishment has been the success of Ellson HVAC. Starting a new business is a challenge, and he’s very glad he stepped out of his comfort zone to pursue this dream. Bringing heating and cooling solutions to his customers whether it’s 100 out or -10 is extremely rewarding.
